About BotCamp
BotCamp is a live streaming and community app for mobile gamers, built for Nigeria and the rest of Africa. Players broadcast their gameplay straight from their phone, with no capture card, no PC and no editing software. Viewers watch, chat and send gifts in real time, and those gifts are worth real money that a streamer can withdraw to a Nigerian bank account.
The part that makes it different is streamer battles. Two streamers go head to head in a live 1v1 while both audiences watch the same wire. Viewers gift to crown a winner, so the audience decides the result rather than a scoreboard. It turns watching a stream into taking part in one.
Around that sits the rest of a gaming social network: short video clips, squads for finding teammates, weekly leaderboards, cosmetic nameplates and badges, a marketplace, and scheduled tournaments with prize pools. Streams are recorded automatically, so a broadcast that ends still has a replay people can find and share.
It is free on iOS and Android, and covers 15 titles including Call of Duty Mobile, Free Fire, Blood Strike, PUBG Mobile, EA FC Mobile and eFootball.
Who built it
Built BotCamp to give African mobile gamers somewhere of their own to stream, compete and get paid, instead of being a rounding error on platforms designed for consoles and Western audiences.
